Mac turn off when close android studio emulatorMake sure to update your controller firmware prior to this via any Xbox or Xbox Accessory App on Windows 10.Using bootcamp for Games instead has proven to be a useful alternative, and use macfancontrol to keep CPU cool via full blast.Elite Controllers generally will only work on Windows 10 or an Xbox Console until it gets a firmware update and full support is added to big sur, steam, and games.Currently, for steam after installing the “Big Picture gamepad driver” Elite controller will work via bluetooth only with limited support (only some games will work)(3) Consider Downgrading to macOS CatalinaYou can choose to do this on you main parition after you back it up, wipe your drive and re-install, or easier just install a second partition on your driver for Catalina just for games (also can use a NVME SSD for this as well via thunderbolt)(4) Check your controller is compatible with this DriverControllers will not work with steam on Big Sur, unless you have:(a) repeated the terminal steps above replacing the dev id with Steams ID instead(b) installing Big picture mode gamepad driver(c) making sure steam preference controller settings are checked on for you controller and can be identified.The latest 1914 Xbox Series S/X variant that had "added support" in Big Sur 11.3 still doesn't work in most games that do have controller support, it only works in a tiny handful of games like Agent Intercept and the Steam big UI. After rebooting, it should work for both wired and wireless for Xbox One / X Series Controllers. Kext is not loaded.Hey so when apple adds support for controllers natively into its OS that is specifically meant ONLY via bluetooth and its Apple Arcade and App Store Games.Xbox 360 is dead technology. It's detected as "Unknown (STANDARD GAMEPAD Vendor: 045e Product: 0b13)" whereas the Dualshock is correctly detected as "DUALSHOCK 4 Wireless Controller (STANDARD GAMEPAD Vendor: 054c Product: far as I know there still is no personal builds for Big Sur (Intel) or M1 Macs. I'm not sure what controllers ARE supported if even the old PS4, old X360 and new Xbox S/X aren't.SOME MORE INFO: I tried out gamepad-tester.com and it looks the 1914 variant of the Xbox Series X controller (USB-C) is still kinda unsupported. Why should Steam update Xbox controller? Anyway it's moot as the Allow button doesn't come up.EDIT 2: I tried connecting the PS4 controller and it works in exactly the same way as the XB Series X one - it doesn't in most games. While I do know Steam has rebuilt there steam client for the new deck that is coming out in spring 2022, which might hint that well see support for M1 Macs, Wired controllers again since the Controller Driver will work once again (need to use controllers with steam fully). He did say that there are working closes with Steam (VALVe) to get everything up and running but there is no know date for this. So any controller use uses that same logical layout as an xbox control would also not work wired since Microsoft like to make products in the most confusing way possible. He states that there already is native wired support for controllers just not Xbox Controllers. Now from what he explain to me and I tested I only found 50% of it to be true.
